Description

You will manage and maintain the organization's database infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user-reported errors and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Design databases considering both front-end and back-end user requirements.
• Protect databases against threats and unauthorized access.
• Ensure adequate database backups and recovery capabilities.
• Report on database usage and performance metrics.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with SQL Databases and modern Relational Databases.
• Skilled in optimizing complex SQL statements.
• Ability to configure popular Database Engines and orchestrate clusters.
• Knowledge of relational database best practices.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, specifically GitLab.
• Experience with metrics collection and database maintenance.
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
