Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure large-scale PostgreSQL and AWS RDS environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, migrate, and upgrade PostgreSQL and AWS RDS instances.
• Implement database coding practices, indexing, and partitioning strategies to improve performance.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure including S3, EC2, IAM, security policies, and user authentication.
• Execute database migrations with technical estimation and approach management.
• Automate batch processes and job scheduling while maintaining data quality, privacy, and security.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of experience managing PostgreSQL databases.
• 5 years of experience managing databases on AWS, specifically using RDS services.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL performance improvement, indexing, and partitioning.
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS and remote system management via SSH.
• Experience with database design principles, query optimization, and isolation levels.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, and Jira.
• Proficiency in CI/CD workflows using GitLab.
• Working knowledge of EDB, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Experience with message queuing and full-text indexing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing AWS environment tools and day-to-day operations on EC2 and S3.
