Description

Manage the installation, security, and performance of SQL Server and Oracle RAC database environments. Own the release pipeline for patches, service packs, and security updates to maintain PCI, vendor, and OES compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure database management software, patches, and security updates.
• Design and implement security models including user accounts, schemas, roles, profiles, and data encryption.
• Monitor database performance by investigating poorly performing SQL statements, identifying index candidates, and updating statistics.
• Manage capacity planning by calculating disk space requirements, forecasting growth, and recommending hardware changes.
• Resolve database integrity issues, fragmentation, and space utilization problems across development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration.
• Proficiency with SQL Server DBA tasks.
• Experience with Oracle RAC.
• Strong knowledge of Database Design and Database Integrity.
• Expertise in Database Optimization and Performance Tuning.
• Ability to perform production data file transfers between various systems and agencies.
• Experience managing database jobs and scheduled processes.

Preferred Skills

• Maintain database standards, policies, and documentation for tuning procedures and root cause analysis.
