You will manage and support complex SQL Server environments with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
Manage SQL Server installations, including patch management, service packs, and upgrades for development and test environments.
Monitor database integrity, replication, backups, and clustered environments to ensure recoverability and uptime.
Execute scripts provided by Systems Analysts or Database Architects to create and modify database objects such as tables, views, constraints, and indexes.
Monitor space allocation, calculate disk requirements, and modify DBMS parameters to manage capacity.
Troubleshoot database functionality, connectivity, and downtime issues using alert logs and trace files.
Required Skills
7+ years of database administration experience specifically on SQL Server 2016 and upwards.
Expertise in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Experience implementing Transparent Data Encryption within SQL Server.
3+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation.
Proficiency working with SQL Server, Systems Analysts, and Database Architects.
Ability to perform 24x7 software and hardware support for complex applications.
Experience managing database fragmentation and space release strategies.
Preferred Skills
Enforce database standards, policies, and procedures while researching new guidelines.
