Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure SQL Server, Oracle, and MariaDB databases to ensure high performance and availability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, job failures, and space management challenges independently.
• Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery procedures to safeguard organizational data.
• Collaborate with application teams to support upgrades, configurations, and high-availability environments such as clustering and replication.
• Recommend automation solutions using emerging technologies, including AI, to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL Server environments (2012-2023) and strong T-SQL scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security management.
• Experience configuring and operating within high-availability environments including clustering, replication, and mirroring.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex database issues and manage ticket queues effectively.
• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with database tools such as Idera.
• Knowledge of licensing for SQL and Oracle systems.
