Description

You manage databases in a high-transaction, high-availability financial trading environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to design and expand enterprise database capabilities.
• Automate environment improvements using shell scripting.
• Manage database backup and recovery processes.
• Troubleshoot and tune performance across multiple database platforms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with MariaDB.
• Strong relational database knowledge and performance tuning expertise.
• Thorough understanding of the Linux operating system and Linux shell scripting.
• Deep understanding of database backup and recovery concepts.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (SQL Diagnostic Manager for MySQL or Oracle Enterprise Manager).
• Knowledge of high availability architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Cloud experience.
