Description

You will manage and optimize DB2 and IMS databases for critical payroll and pension applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and tune DB2 databases to ensure operational efficiency.
• Author and validate procedures for all database processes.
• Identify potential issues and deliver modifications or updates for DB2 programs.
• Provide technical support and migration instructions to the Tech Support team for production migrations.
• Assist Systems areas with tool upgrades and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide financial and payroll applications.
• Experience with IBM IMS V12 database management or higher.
• Proficiency with DB2 database administration, including backup, recovery, reorgs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CICS transaction server.
• Ability to author REXX scripts.
• Ability to troubleshoot assembler code and DB2 embedded within COBOL programs.
• Experience installing and managing DB2 on AIX platforms.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting IBM Tivoli LDAP server on AIX.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining data propagation solutions using IBM InfoSphere Replication Server.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to design solutions using Oracle Transparent Gateway.
• Ability to design, develop, and implement BMC BPPM Monitoring software solutions.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a technical/business discipline.
