Description

You will architect, design, and support cloud-based database infrastructure. You will manage large-scale deployment, migration, patching, consolidation, and upgrade projects. You will migrate databases and schema objects from on-premises to cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server and PostgreSQL Aurora on AWS RDS/EC2 using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate database and schema refreshes for Aurora using Shell scripting or Python.
• Configure New Relic or Foglight monitoring tools, including setting up alerts and dashboards for RDS instances.
• Develop complex database objects such as stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using SQL and T-SQL.
• Travel to unanticipated client sites within the USA as required by project needs.

Required Skills

• 24+ months of experience with SQL Server, SSIS, AWS, and SSRS.
• Proficiency in AWS RDS and EC2 database services.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills.
• Shell scripting or Python for automation tasks.
• Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic or Foglight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Engineering, or Commerce.
