Description

You will support and manage SQL Server environments, taking load off existing DBA teams.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, patch, and maintain database management software and service packs across environments.
• Design, configure, and initiate auditing, and implement data encryption within SQL Server.
• Analyze and resolve database integrity and space utilization issues in development, test, and production.
• Perform database performance tuning, including optimizing SQL statements and updating statistics.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues not handled in-house.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Database Administration with SQL and Sybase.
• Strong experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Proficiency with Windows Servers and SQL Server clustering.
• Experience migrating systems from Sybase to SQL Server.
• Experience with Unix, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Transparent Data Encryption within SQL Server.
• Over 3+ years experience creating and maintaining systems documentation.
• Skills in designing security models, roles, and user accounts.
