Description

Manage MongoDB production environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across replica sets and sharded clusters.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters in production.
• Perform upgrades and refreshes while ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Configure and manage backups using Ops Manager and validate restore readiness.
• Implement and troubleshoot X.509 authentication for deployments.
• Investigate performance issues and support operational readiness in Kubernetes.

Required Skills

• 6-12 years of experience in MongoDB database administration.
• Deep knowledge of replica sets and sharded clusters.
• Proficiency in Linux operations and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager (OpsMgr) for backup and management.
• Ability to troubleshoot X.509 authentication and performance issues.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud migration projects.
