Description

You will provide primary database administration across Oracle, MSSQL, and Sybase systems in a financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7/365 primary DBA support for Oracle RAC and standalone databases on Linux, Solaris x64, and AIX.
• Support Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Server clustered and non-clustered databases 24/7/365.
• Perform application releases and app/data patching for specific global database applications.
• Engineer high availability database systems using Oracle and SQL Server, and remediate security baselines.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and Sybase database concepts, development, and administration.
• Five years or more experience as an Oracle/SQL DBA in a production environment.
• Expertise in Oracle ASM, RAC, CRS, RMAN, Data Guard, and replication administration.
• Expertise in SQL cluster and mirroring administration and troubleshooting.
• Five years or more experience with SQL and T-SQL.
• Five years or more experience with Sybase ASE, IQ, and replication.
• Strong Unix and Windows experience at a sysadmin/power-user level.
• Proven troubleshooting, recovery, DB, and app optimization experience in large enterprise environments (50+ managed servers).
• Financial Industry experience.
