Description

Provide primary database administration for Oracle, MSSQL, and Sybase systems in a financial environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7/365 primary DBA support for Oracle RAC and standalone databases on Linux, Solaris x64, and AIX.
• Support Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Server clustered and non-clustered databases 24/7/365.
• Perform application releases and app/data patching for global database applications.
• Engineer high availability database systems using Oracle and SQL Server.
• Remediate security baselines and troubleshoot complex database issues.

Required Skills

• Five or more years of experience as an Oracle/SQL DBA in a production environment.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle ASM, RAC, CRS, RMAN, Data Guard, and replication administration.
• Expertise in SQL cluster and mirroring administration and troubleshooting.
• Five or more years of experience with SQL and T-SQL.
• Five or more years of experience with Sybase ASE, IQ, and replication.
• Strong Unix and Windows sysadmin or power-user level experience.
• Proven troubleshooting, recovery, and optimization experience in large enterprise environments (50+ servers).

Preferred Skills

• Financial industry experience.
