Description

Manage production database environments to ensure availability, performance, and integrity across multiple platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer production databases to ensure smooth daily operations and high availability.
• Supervise backup procedures, database installations, upgrades, and clustering activities.
• Analyze database systems to identify bottlenecks and recommend performance improvements.
• Manage change management processes and execute performance tuning activities.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience administering production databases.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of: Oracle 9i/10g, DB2, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL programming.
• Expertise in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and monitoring.
• Ability to analyze system metrics and recommend capacity planning improvements.
• Certifications such as OCA-DBA, OCP-DBA, or MCDBA preferred.

Preferred Skills

• B. Tech / B. E. in CS/IT/EE or MCA with 4+ years of IT experience.
• Any Graduate with 7+ years of IT experience and relevant DBA certifications.
