Description

You will manage and optimize MySQL database environments in both clustered and non-clustered configurations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provision MySQL instances and execute schema changes, patches, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot database issues including slow queries, locking conflicts, and data inconsistencies.
• Optimize performance through tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
• Maintain backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection and continuity.
• Implement security measures such as role-based access controls, encryption, and authentication.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in database administration.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL management and recent MySQL versions.
• Deep understanding of InnoDB and MyISAM storage engines.
• Experience configuring MySQL replication.
• Practical knowledge of MySQL features like the event scheduler.
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
• Familiarity with MySQL limitations and known workarounds.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
