Description

You will manage database design, optimization, and instance monitoring within a MySQL environment.

Responsibilities

• Design database schemas and create Entity Relationship Diagrams.
• Write, define, and optimize complex SQL queries and database views.
• Develop database scripts and manage data migrations from customer databases to product databases.
• Identify root causes for database issues and perform database clean-up.
• Profile server resource usage and tweak configurations to optimize performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a MySQL Database Developer.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management and recent MySQL versions.
• Deep understanding of InnoDB and MyISAM storage engines.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL statements using Table Scan, Row Scan, Query Execution Plan, and SQL Profiler.
• Ability to implement Standard, Indexed, and Partitioned views.
• Knowledge of MySQL features including the Event Scheduler.
• Ability to plan resource requirements based on high-level specifications.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PL/SQL.
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN or Git.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
