Description

You will manage, design, and optimize database environments across MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database structures ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Monitor performance and resolve bottlenecks through query optimization and indexing.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery drills to meet RPO and RTO objectives.
• Execute database installations, version upgrades, and security patching with minimal downtime.
• Develop automation scripts for routine tasks and database deployments.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in database administration.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL architecture, storage engines, and replication (Master-Slave, Group Replication, Galera Cluster).
• Proficiency in MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharding, and aggregation frameworks.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, advanced SQL, and performance tuning like vacuuming.
• Experience with MySQL backup tools including mysqldump and Percona XtraBackup.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB backup via mongodump, mongorestore, and Ops Manager.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL tools such as pg_dump and pg_basebackup.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Experience with PL/pgSQL and advanced SQL features.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL extensions like PostGIS, pg_partman, and pg_stat_statements.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloud Manager.
