Description

You will manage and support Oracle OMS and eSRI based GIS environments and databases across Linux and Windows servers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ArcGIS and ArcFM environments through performance monitoring, optimization, and SDE compress and rebuild operations.
• Manage geospatial data models for Gas and Electric, including both versioned and non-versioned datasets.
• Execute database maintenance, including software updates, indexing, partitioning, and data synchronization/replication.
• Design and deploy disaster recovery plans using RMAN, Data Pump, and export/import methods.
• Automate database maintenance and monitoring tasks using PL/SQL, shell scripts, and batch scripts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration and management.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS (ArcSDE, ArcFM, ArcIMS), and ArcGIS Enterprise (10.6.1).
• Proficiency in managing Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Application Server.
• Proven ability to manage data modeling, physical design, and data structures.
• Expertise with backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Tivoli.
• Experience managing GIS user accounts, instances, services, and permissions.
• Competency in monitoring OS resources including I/O, CPU, memory, and network utilization on Unix and Windows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience administering database security, including user roles, privileges, profiles, and auditing strategies.
