Description

Manage and migrate Oracle databases within AWS cloud environments. Own the full lifecycle of on-premises to cloud migration, HA/DR implementation, and performance tuning for large-scale OLAP/OLTP systems.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Oracle databases from on-premises to Amazon RDS and EC2 using expdp and RMAN backups.
• Implement GoldenGate unidirectional and bidirectional replication for reporting databases.
• Define and implement HA/DR solutions using Oracle Data Guard and Oracle RAC for mission-critical applications.
• Perform RAC installation, patching, and management for single and multiple node configurations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle 12c, 11g, and 10g.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN, including full, incremental, and cumulative backups.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP Netware.
• Experience with tools including OEM, Oracle Cloud Control, Quest, EMC Avamar, NetBackup, and TSM.
• Competency with Putty, WinSCP, psftp, VNC, and Footprint SM9.

Preferred Skills

• Master of Science in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, or a related field.
