Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 UDB environments to ensure data availability and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute database upgrades from V 10.5 or 11.1 to 11.5.
• Manage DB2 UDB installation, MQ software installation, and patch management.
• Configure and troubleshoot HADR and IBM MQ Replication.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in DB2 UDB Database Administration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ Replication and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in HADR configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database diagnostics tools, including inbuilt tools and DMC.
• Expertise in backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
• Competency in performance tuning, query optimization, and index/partition management.
• Ability to manage DB objects, storage groups, and data movement utilities.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes, including Problem, Change, and Incident Management.
• Scripting skills for task automation.
