Description

You will lead database administration efforts, providing senior-level support and guidance for SQL environments and team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases, procedures, and functions to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Manage SQL Server performance tuning, including indexing, optimizer strategies, stored procedures, partitioning, and memory management.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks such as installations, upgrades, patching, monitoring, and auditing.
• Act as a technical liaison for integration, migration, upgrade, storage, and replication strategies.
• Collaborate with Agile development teams to support build, deployment, and operational activities within Scrum frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and triage issues to identify root causes and drive technical resolutions.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Database Administration, Backup/Recovery, Performance Tuning, RDBMS, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
• 2-4 years of experience with Failover Clusters, High-Availability, DMVs, SSIS, SSRS, Profiler, and SQL Tuning.
• 2-4 years of experience in database planning, scaling, capacity planning, and advanced ETL.
• Experience with SQL Server versions including 2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2019.
• Advanced knowledge of SSAS.
• 1-2 years of experience with PowerShell, RedGate Toolset, and SDLC.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide after-hours or weekend maintenance as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
