You will manage, maintain, and secure database environments across SQL Server, Snowflake, and AWS ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Manage OLTP and OLAP SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, and version upgrades.
- Administer Snowflake and Power BI environments to support structured and unstructured data needs.
- Enforce ISO security requirements through database access audits, connection tracking, and anomaly reporting.
- Automate manual tasks and alerts using Python or Node.js to improve operational efficiency.
- Execute data engineering activities on AWS to support integration, storage, and governance initiatives.
- Optimize deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools and manage version control via GitHub, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and management.
- Proficiency with SQL Server monitoring, daily checks, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Aurora, DynamoDB, Glue, Data Zone, and Lambda.
- Experience managing datastores such as Snowflake, SQL Server, and RDS.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python or Node.js.
- Knowledge of database security, including managing administrator group memberships and password policies.
- Ability to configure data management practices using AWS Glue Data Catalog and API Gateway.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end components for cloud-based data applications.
- Background in designing scalable and resilient cloud engineering solutions.
