Description

You will architect, implement, and maintain a PostgreSQL data warehouse on AWS to support critical analytics and software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a PostgreSQL data warehouse hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Build, automate, and maintain ETL processes for data migrations and submissions.
• Migrate datasets from diverse sources including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, and Excel.
• Manage PostgreSQL and SQL Server instances, schemas, and tables within AWS.
• Perform performance tuning, optimization, and security implementations.
• Develop basic data models, documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to state staff.

Required Skills

• 5 years of combined experience in PostgreSQL and SQL Server database management.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with both PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• 3 years of experience performing database migrations using ETL tools.
• 3 years of experience in data warehousing.
• 6 months of experience working with AWS data warehouse technology.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight to architect database solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with database architecture and data modeling.
• Experience with Oracle database management.
• Proficiency with advanced analytical design tools.
