Description

You will manage and optimize database systems within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment, owning the full lifecycle from design to maintenance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain databases on OCI to meet storage and retrieval requirements.
• Perform regular maintenance including backups, updates, patches, and disaster recovery strategy implementation.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and configuration adjustments.
• Implement security measures including encryption, authentication, and access control policies.
• Setup and manage OCI Autonomous Databases (ATP, ADW, AJD) and provide technical support to application developers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Experience managing databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Hands-on experience with OCI Autonomous Databases (ATP, ADW, AJD).
• Strong SQL query writing and database performance tuning skills.
• Proven ability to implement performance monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Expertise in developing backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
