Description

You will manage and support large-scale MongoDB clusters serving critical applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage MongoDB deployment, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, patching, and backup/restore processes.
• Resolve security vulnerabilities by applying MongoDB server and OS patches to meet security standards.
• Monitor clusters to identify potential issues and prevent incidents before they impact services.
• Develop tools to facilitate data migration from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.
• Participate in 24x7 rotating on-call support and collaborate with engineers in China during off-hours.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep understanding of MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharded clusters, and data distribution.
• Proficiency in MongoDB performance tuning and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB security enhancement using X509 and TLS authentication.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining applications on Kubernetes platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts including pods, services, deployments, and stateful sets.
• Experience with container runtimes such as Docker.
• Administration experience with MySQL and SQLite.
• 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Perl, or Shell scripting.
