You will manage and maintain distributed database environments in an onsite role in St. Louis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and administer EDB Postgres, Postgres Distributed, and AWS RDS.
• Install and configure PostgreSQL Plus Advanced Server and manage Postgres Distributed from Enterprise DB.
• Manage binary and logical replication, including Binary Streaming Bi-Directional Replication (BDR).
• Perform SQL performance tuning and diagnostics collection.
• Write and debug SQL and procedural code across various languages.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in EDB Postgres architecture and internals.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Redis.
• Proficiency in PL/pgSQL, PL/Tcl, PL/Perl, and PL/Python.
• Strong Linux expertise, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools including PEM and Splunk.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, KSH, and Perl.
• Experience with automation and performance tuning on Postgres and AWS.
• Strong SQL development and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dynatrace.
• Domain knowledge in payment systems.
