Description

You will manage and optimize DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, and MSSQL environments, ensuring high availability and performance. This role requires deep expertise in z/OS infrastructure, including JCL, COBOL, and subsystem recovery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer DB2 for z/OS, handling catalog maintenance, performance tuning, and point-in-time recovery.
• Manage z/OS integrated platforms, including CA GEN, ISPF, ASG Scheduler, and started tasks.
• Oversee Oracle and MSSQL application integration, performance management, and database administration.
• Implement and coordinate technical infrastructure changes, including disaster recovery planning and verification testing.
• Interpret monitoring tools for DB2 and z/OS to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS and z/OS operating system internals.
• Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, CICS, RACF, and IOF.
• Experience with Oracle and MSSQL database administration and application integration.
• Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Windows Servers.
• Understanding of Azure services and IBI z/OS service support.
• Ability to create and manage z/OS EXITs and use AFOPER commands.
• 15+ years of experience in database administration and systems support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GIS systems and BJS.
