Description

You will manage the installation, tuning, and upgrading of DBMS installations to ensure high availability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement databases by gathering requirements through sessions with business users.
• Support application developers with schema design, code reviews, and SQL query tuning.
• Monitor database performance, apply patches, and implement version upgrades.
• Enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure security and integrity.

Required Skills

• Experience with IBM-DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Shell, Python, or R.
• Ability to work with document databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience managing cloud database services like Amazon RDS or RedShift.
• Skills in database modeling and requirements gathering.
• Ability to perform regular tests to ensure data privacy and security.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or any graduate qualification.
