Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments within Azure to support digital transformation initiatives.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Optimize complex SQL queries using Joins, Cross Apply, Aggregate Queries, Merge, and Pivot techniques.
• Manage Azure data infrastructure including Data Factory pipelines, Databricks workspaces, and security groups.
• Execute database migrations for stored procedures, functions, and views while implementing CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
• Perform query tuning, indexing, and constraint reviews to resolve deadlocks and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers and other DBAs to debug code, troubleshoot issues, and refine database designs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Hands-on experience managing SQL Server databases within Azure.
• Proficiency in creating and supporting Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Experience managing Databricks workspaces and Azure security groups.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD workflows.
• Expertise in SQL query tuning and performance optimization for large datasets.
• Strong understanding of table variables, temporary tables, and CTEs.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and follow standard coding practices.
