Description

You will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of database systems through continuous monitoring and threat assessment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database systems for unauthorized access, unusual activities, or potential security breaches.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and validity of sensitive data.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify infrastructure weaknesses.
• Implement security policies, access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Respond to security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora, and Redshift.
• Deep understanding of corporate enterprise security frameworks and encryption methods.
• Experience running vulnerability scanners and intrusion detection software.
• Background in performing database audits and CVE vulnerability checks.
• Knowledge of database monitoring activity programs, including classification and content inspection.
• Proven ability to manage access controls and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience responding to security alerts and investigating anomalous behavior.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automating security tasks.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
