Own the lifecycle of DB2 database environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery through HADR configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DB2 instances on Linux with a focus on performance tuning and stability.
• Implement and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Administer GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, storage, networking, and IAM policies.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl for system administration tasks.
• Monitor system health using tools like IBM DMC, Dynatrace, and GCP monitoring, addressing issues proactively.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with DB2 DBA tasks, specifically on Linux platforms.
• Advanced system administration skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proven expertise in DB2 performance tuning and optimization.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing HADR setups.
• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like IBM DMC and Dynatrace.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies and security best practices for database environments.
