Description

You will design, build, and maintain relational databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement relational databases, data acquisition strategies, and archive recovery processes.
• Develop and maintain a centralized registry of metadata and enterprise data standards.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, troubleshooting, and defect root cause analysis.
• Ensure all database administration and reporting interfaces comply with EIR Accessibility standards.
• Support application development on J2EE and WebSphere platforms within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle database design, development, and support.
• Proficiency with Oracle versions 11g, 12c, or later.
• Advanced SQL skills for relational database manipulation.
• Experience writing stored procedures, views, and ad-hoc queries.
• Expertise in database security management and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to document database design, processes, and systems architecture.
• Experience working within Agile project management methodologies.
• Background supporting applications on J2EE and WebSphere platforms.
• Experience with Texas Health and Human Services or other State Agencies.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility compliance.
