Description

You will design and lead the re-architecture of relational and non-relational database systems to resolve scalability and performance bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing database systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and scalability issues.
• Develop re-architecture plans covering schema redesign, index optimization, and improved data models.
• Lead database migrations to cloud or hybrid cloud platforms while ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Implement scaling strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions to handle increasing loads.
• Document new architectures, including data flow diagrams, schema changes, and operational guides.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and administration.
• Expertise in relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Proven experience migrating and managing databases on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Practical experience with database replication, sharding, and high availability.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy standards, encryption, and backup strategies.
• Proficiency with QLIK and Goldengate.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
