Description

You will design, implement, and optimize scalable database architectures and data pipelines for high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable database schemas, logical/physical data models, and ingestion pipelines.
• Manage and optimize AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and DynamoDB for cost and performance.
• Write Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and system integration.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure disaster recovery and high availability.
• Maintain technical documentation for architectures, processes, and configurations.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in database architecture and management.
• Expertise in writing performant stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL statements.
• Strong proficiency with Amazon Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and DynamoDB.
• Advanced Python skills for automation and data manipulation.
• Deep knowledge of database administration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with SQL across various systems including Oracle and MySQL.
• Experience with Database Design and Data Warehouse management.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing and ingestion processes.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
