Description

You will design and implement scalable, secure database solutions across Azure and on-premises environments. This role owns hybrid database architectures, migration initiatives, and performance tuning for structured and unstructured data platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect hybrid database solutions integrating cloud-native Azure services with legacy systems.
• Lead database migration and modernization from on-premises to Azure using Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Synapse.
• Implement governance, security, and compliance through encryption, RBAC, and auditing.
• Manage monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, KQL, and Azure Arc.
• Support automation and Infrastructure as Code practices using Ansible and Azure DevOps.

Required Skills

• 8+ years experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse.
• Experience with hybrid cloud management using Azure Arc and Azure VMware Solution.
• Proficiency in database migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Data Migration Assistant, and Database Migration Service.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Ability to perform performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kusto Query Language (KQL) for monitoring and observability.
• Background in data engineering or DevOps collaboration.
