Description

Engineer and maintain secure, multi-region AWS database infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud database solutions balancing performance, durability, and security across AWS RDS (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitLab pipelines.
• Manage multi-region database deployments and support migration of on-premise Oracle and SQL databases to AWS.
• Diagnose and remediate database performance issues and infrastructure problems.
• Write IaC code to install custom applications and COTS tools in AWS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Terraform and GitLab for IaC.
• Expertise with AWS RDS (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) and SaaS databases.
• Hands-on experience with VPC, AWS Transit VPC, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.
• Practical understanding of AWS compute, network, and storage infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and maintaining multi-region database deployments in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks and Mongo Atlas.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies including AWS EKS, ECS, and Kubernetes.
