Description

Manage database development and performance optimization for high-demand OLAP and OLTP applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop PL/SQL and T-SQL procedures, functions, and views for batch processing and reporting.
• Perform query performance tuning and resolve production database issues.
• Troubleshoot resource contention including CPU, memory, I/O, and disk space.
• Manage database integrity, blocking, and deadlocking issues.
• Collaborate with DBAs, IT infrastructure, and application teams on migrations and upgrades.

Required Skills

• 7 to 10 years of overall database experience.
• 5+ years of PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and database design.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server DDL, DML, Views, Stored Procedures, and Functions using T-SQL.
• 5+ years of experience writing advanced SQL queries.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting database integrity, performance, blocking, and deadlocks.
• 3+ years of experience with Shell or Bash scripting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL Server DB architecture.
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and ETL tools.
• Exposure to Sybase, MongoDB, and Azure cloud technology.
