Description

Build and optimize database systems, data pipelines, and engineering processes for loan and lending platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex SQL/PLSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for distributed database environments.
• Lead system design activities, define engineering guidelines, and manage the quality control pipeline through code reviews.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Kafka, Apache Spark, and PySpark within Hadoop or data lake architectures.
• Tune database performance, including SQL tuning, and implement robust database modeling strategies.
• Collaborate with global teams using Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of Database Development experience with SQL/PLSQL in distributed environments (DB2, SQL Server, or Sybase).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Hadoop, Data Lake, or related big data technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Python development and writing complex database scripts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and PySpark for data pipeline management.
• Working knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica and Tableau.
• Understanding of enterprise application requirements, including security and entitlements.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and global team collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Git, UI frameworks (Angular/React), and NoSQL databases.
• Basic DevOps knowledge including tools like Liqibase.
