Description

You will manage SQL Server capacity and performance across multiple engineering teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement metrics to proactively manage SQL Server database capacity.
• Develop automated reporting services to monitor system thresholds and metrics 24/7.
• Optimize application performance for systems heavily reliant on stored procedures.
• Execute simulation and stress testing to identify database capacity and resource utilization thresholds.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server performance tuning and monitoring (versions 2008 to 2019).
• Hands-on experience migrating SQL Server from 2008 to 2019.
• Expertise in analyzing SQL performance, load, and concurrency in multi-component architectures.
• Experience managing replication to external databases such as Sybase.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and at least one programming language.
• Skill in scripting and automation using MS PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
• In-depth understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem hosted on AWS.
• Ability to implement monitoring via Grafana, SSRS, or Power BI.
