Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable database systems. You will own the transition from Oracle to SQL Server and ensure high availability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement relational data models, tables, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Develop ETL processes, data warehousing solutions, and dimensional data modeling using partitioning.
• Manage database migrations, specifically transitioning from Oracle to SQL Server.
• Configure Windows Server and Active Directory to manage user access and application integration.
• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to ensure performance and scalability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database development and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proven expertise in ETL development and data warehousing.
• Experience with back-end data integration and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for reporting.
• Direct experience with database migration projects.
• Knowledge of designing and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations.
• Ability to manage Windows Server and Active Directory user access strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data management solutions, specifically AWS RDS.
• Ability to automate regular processes, track issues, and document system changes.
• Experience implementing security protocols including encryption, access controls, and data validation rules.
