Description

Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the Texas Student Data System, owning the full development lifecycle from technical analysis to defect resolution.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis by reviewing user requirements and creating design documents.
• Write code adhering to industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
• Execute testing by creating test data, test cases, and scripts to verify requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation including process flows, data models, and environment diagrams.
• Collaborate with the project team on sprint tasks, architecture discussions, and defect resolution.

Required Skills

• 8 years of experience with SQL, including CRUD, joins, group by, having, and where.
• 8 years of experience with referential integrity and database tuning techniques.
• 8 years of experience using Oracle stored procedures, PL/SQL, Dynamic SQL, and exception handling.
• 8 years of experience working the full SDLC within an Object-Oriented framework.
• 8 years of experience with XML, JSON, API testing, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• 4 years of experience designing, coding, and supporting business/validation reports using Jasper.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with Bitbucket, Jira, or the Texas Student Data System (TSDS).
• Experience with Ed-Fi Data Standards and Technologies.
