Description

You will design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade databases using MySQL and Oracle. You own the full lifecycle of database development, from modeling to production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures for MySQL and Oracle environments.
• Design ETL processes and data models ensuring normalization and relational integrity.
• Perform performance tuning, indexing, and optimization to meet strict production SLAs.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions for enterprise systems.
• Support production databases in Unix/Linux environments using shell scripting.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience with MySQL and Oracle databases.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL and MySQL SQL/stored procedures.
• Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, normalization, and relational database design.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience supporting production databases with defined SLAs.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora, Oracle Cloud, Azure DB Services).
• Exposure to database migration or replication tools (e.g., GoldenGate).
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and automation for database deployments.
