Description

You will design, deploy, and maintain database systems to ensure high functionality and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design new databases based on data storage requirements and user load.
• Monitor systems, including work processes, logs, locks, and disk space, to ensure production uptime.
• Develop scripts and programs for deployment, storage capacity increases, and troubleshooting.
• Execute database recovery procedures during system crashes or log failures.
• Perform routine maintenance including schema management, object management, and physical database layout.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Expertise in installation, upgrade, and patching for Sybase, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with replication setup, troubleshooting, and failovers.
• Proficiency in automation using shell script, Python, Ansible, or Go.
• Strong background in performance tuning, backup, recovery, and security implementation.
• Experience with disaster recovery setup and maintenance.
• Ability to perform data cleansing, integrity verification, and access control implementation.
• Skill in debugging database scripts and troubleshooting platform-specific performance issues.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
