You will design, optimize, and secure database environments and hybrid data architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures and hybrid data stores.
• Integrate data warehouses with NoSQL GCP solutions and PostgreSQL.
• Execute Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations, including converting stored procedures and queries.
• Optimize AlloyDB and PostgreSQL performance through tuning autovacuum and query optimization.
• Lead the database team by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations using AlloyDB or Cloud SQL.
• Hands-on experience with GCP technologies: Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, BigQuery, Firestore, MemoryStore, Spanner, and GCP Data Migration Service.
• Knowledge of bare metal PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cloud Dataflow.
• Expertise in performance management, including profiling, benchmarking, and testing.
• Experience with disaster recovery, job scheduling, logging, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Ability to manage project delivery, including scope, risk identification, and estimations.
• Strong enterprise architecture and technical decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• GCP Database Engineer Certification.
