Description

You will manage and optimize production Oracle and Postgres databases for the core application stack.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production Oracle and Postgres databases, ensuring high availability.
• Troubleshoot database, application, and performance issues with Dev, QE, and support teams.
• Implement disaster recovery solutions, manage standby databases, and handle data replication.
• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Data Pump utilities.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis, including extended hours when required.

Required Skills

• 4-5 years of experience managing production Oracle and Postgres databases.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC Administration, ASM, and Disaster Recovery implementation.
• Knowledge of Data Guard and Data Guard Broker configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with performance tuning and data replication.
• Experience with non-relational datastores such as Couchbase.
• Scripting skills in Shell or Perl.

Preferred Skills

• K knowledge of data mart, business intelligence, and ETL tools like Pervasive and Informatica.
