Description

Manage and support Oracle database environments across Non-RAC and RAC architectures on Unix/Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Oracle databases and Grid Infrastructure 19c on Red Hat Linux.
• Manage Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) cluster filesystems, including disk group maintenance.
• Execute patching for grid infrastructure and Oracle RDBMS, and perform RMAN backups to meet RPO and RTO requirements.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate replication.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, root cause analysis (RCA), and assisting developers with best practices.

Required Skills

• 15-17 years of hands-on experience in database engineering.
• Extensive experience implementing and managing Oracle Databases in RAC environments with at least 2 years of production support.
• Proficiency with Oracle Data Guard (Active and Standby modes) and GoldenGate replication (integrated and microservices).
• Expertise in configuring Oracle RAC and ASM technologies on Red Hat Linux.
• Experience implementing Grid Infrastructure release 19 or higher.
• Strong skills in RMAN, database encryption, and Oracle Advanced Security Option.
• Knowledge of Multi-tenant Architecture, Oracle Partitioning, Real Application Testing (RAT), and Oracle Database Vault.
• Ability to use Ansible for automation and develop UNIX shell scripts.
• Experience managing high-availability production databases and performing root cause analysis (RCA).

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within AWS or Azure cloud environments.
