Description

You will design, develop, and maintain the data layer for high-volume microservices architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design database schemas and maintain data structures using MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Map data and create low-level designs for microservices components.
• Drive the presentation of data layer designs to technical leads and developers.
• Perform application validation, functional testing, and define TDD and BDD specifications.
• Manage database installations, upgrades, and deployment efforts within cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in design, development, and testing.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience designing data and databases using MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years of experience orchestrating microservices for high-volume transactions on Kubernetes, PCF, or Cloud.
• 3+ years of experience building systems from the ground up using modularization and design patterns.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments using 2-week sprints, Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proficiency in writing SQL scripts and designing database configurations.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to implement industry best practices like 12-factor methodology, feature toggles, and circuit breakers.
