Description

You will implement, maintain, and scale cloud-based RDBMS systems while ensuring 24/7 reliability and data integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support scaling of RDBMS platforms including Postgres, MySQL, and Amazon Aurora.
• Manage backups, perform restores, and maintain high-availability configurations.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in production and non-production environments.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement schema changes and enforce security standards.
• Build and maintain automation tooling for routine administrative tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years managing or supporting cloud-based database systems (AWS).
• Strong working knowledge of RDBMS, specifically MySQL or Aurora.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for scripting automation.
• Solid SQL skills with ability to troubleshoot and tune query performance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Understanding of database replication, backups, and high-availability concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to distributed systems or horizontal scaling concepts (e.g., sharding, read-replicas).
