Description

Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure SQL Server instances, including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering.
• Manage database backups, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization, including T-SQL query tuning and index management.
• Monitor system statistics related to memory, locks, I/O, and wait events to resolve data lock issues.
• Execute ETL processes for large data loads and manage database migrations and server upgrades.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for SQL Server.
• 6+ years of experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Expertise in MS SQL Server administration and database design.
• Proficiency in T-SQL programming and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL processes and large-scale data imports/exports.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Ability to manage physical data storage design and security settings.

Preferred Skills

• MS SQL Server Certifications.
