Description

You will manage and optimize database environments across on-premise and AWS infrastructures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Manage replication solutions to ensure high availability based on application requirements.
• Automate infrastructure setup and routine tasks using Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and performance enhancement.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience administering AWS managed services including RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Automation experience with Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting or Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, PMM, Datadog, or Monyog.
• Ability to perform capacity planning and daily health checks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
