Description

Manage, optimize, and scale MongoDB and MySQL databases within a Linux environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer MongoDB and MySQL, handling installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Design efficient MongoDB data models focused on scalability and data integrity.
• Manage MongoDB replica sets to ensure high availability and data redundancy.
• Execute database migrations and schema upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Implement and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database management, specializing in MongoDB and MySQL.
• Proficiency in MongoDB query tuning and index optimization.
• Experience managing databases in Linux environments.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS and Azure for database hosting and scaling.
• Ability to design and implement high-availability solutions using cloud-native services.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell for task automation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis or Elasticsearch.
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL.
